Our Story
A Greek legacy,
Rooted in Puerto Rico.
Our story began in 1973, when Lefteris Lignos, a Greek chef born and raised in Santorini, opened Puerto Rico’s first Greek restaurant, Zorba the Greek. Nearly five decades later, his son Alexander Lignos carried that family legacy forward with OPA! Greek Kouzina, opening in Guaynabo in 2022 and Condado in 2023.
Today, the Lignos family remains hands-on, sharing the food, traditions, and hospitality that have been part of their family for generations.
